There are few things that can make a difference between an easier travel
experience and a more difficult one, and by our estimation, installing an application
on your phone will make all the difference in hard times. Too many times we see
flights get delayed, gates get changed, or takeoff times being adjusted, and in the
process, many travelers left frustrated. The worst part is, without a means to
resolve the situation personally, you are left having to play the waiting for someone-
to-provide-answers game like everyone else.
Nothing says annoyed more than waiting to board a flight that gets cancelled late at
night and quickly a line forms outside the customer service office. Customer service
phone lines are overwhelmed, and so you take your place in line waiting for that
hopeful hotel voucher, but even so, by the time that you get it, the line to catch the
shuttle will be just as long as the line to customer service. However, for some
people, that scenario is far less stressful, and here is why.
Most of the larger airlines have their own application and are more than happy to
give passengers the opportunity to reschedule their own flight and ease up their call
centers. As soon as a flight gets cancelled, a gate gets changed, or a flight delayed,
a person can easily be pulling the information and making the adjustments that
they need, right from the palm of their hand. Additionally, most of these
applications will send push notifications about the flight to the device, keeping a
person from having to do the work personally. There is no need to stand in a long
line just to make a flight change. Instead, a person can easily pull up their app and
change their flight to an earlier one the next day, allowing them to skip the line and
begin making their way toward the hotel sooner than the crowd.
So, in the future, if you want to find an easier way to keep up to date on
information, do yourself a favor and get the airline’s app. There is likely no easier
way to eliminate stress when the time comes to adjust plans.
